1. Environmental Modeling: Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) and Neural Differential Equations (NDEs) for complex processes;
2. Intelligent Control: Model Predictive Control (MPC) for intelligent decision-making in system operation
3. Trustworthy AI: Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) and interpretability for environmental engineering;
4. Wastewater Valorization: Recovery of valuable resources from wastewater and complex liquid streams.
